with small domestic appliances accounting for less than 5% of the total amount of weee recycled each year, bluskye are teaming up with schools to improve this. we supply schools with heavy-duty bags for the children to fill with old goods from home. typical examples might be, old hairdryers, radios and portable cd players, once the bags are full, bluskye pick these up and make a donation to the school funds.
this has proved popular with teachers and children alike. the children improve their understanding of the environment and the need to reduce landfill, and the school receive a boost to their funds.

responding to our customers, bluskye has recently launched a home collection service for old electrical items. this is an opportunity to clear out old electrical goods that might have been taking up space in garages or valuable loft space.
a nominal pick up charge may apply (usually £5, subject to travelling time), which is significantly less than the local authority fees. moreover we can organise a pick up time to suit you.
